Patrick A. De Grio

Mr. De Grio entered the Army March 8, 1943, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Duluth, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician Fourth Grade and diesel mechanic with Company C, 1878th Engineers Aviation Battalion in Eastern Mandates and Ryukyus. Inspected, tested and performed field repairs and adjustments to diesel engines. Completed unit replacements and rebuilding of diesel engines and equipment in a mobile unit repair shop.

Awarded: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, and four overseas service bars.

Honorably discharged December 27, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
