Ray V. Johnson

Ray V. Johnson enlisted in the Army Air Corps March 5, 1941 in Duluth, Minnesota. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.

Served as a Technical Sergeant and airplane maintenance crew chief with the 339th Army Air Forces Base Unit in the Aleutian Islands.

Mr. Johnson was awarded the: American Defense Service Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, World War II Victory Medal and four overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged September 29, 1945, at Truax AFB, Wisconsin.
