Raymond J. Sheehy

Raymond J. Sheehy entered active duty in the Army on April 15, 1942. He was a commissioned captain in the Infantry and served in the Rhineland and Central Europe. He received the Bronze Star Medal, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the European- African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with two bronze battle stars, the American Campaign Service Medal, the Army of Occupation Service Medal (Germany), and the World War II Victory Medal. He was released from active duty on April 7, 1948. He also served in the Army from Dec. 14, 1948 to Jan. 5, 1950 as a captain with the 9th Infantry Regiment in the U.S, as a military personnel officer.
