Reino J. Silvi

Reino J. Silvi was inducted into the Army on April 25, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Cook, Minnesota.

He served as a Sergeant and medical technician with the Medical Detachment of the Special Troops of the 99th Infantry Division in Algeria, and Tunisia, North Africa; Sicily; Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.

He received the following: Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with eight bronze battle stars (one silver and three bronze), World War II Victory Medal, and six overseas service bars.

Mr. Silvi was honorably discharged on October 4, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
