L'AMIE, Richard Wilcke

Richard Wilcke L'Amie was born on July 10th 1919 to Dell Adolphe & Agnes W. [Wilcke] L'Amie in Duluth, Minnesota. He attended Cathedral High School.

Mr. L'Amie enlisted in the U.S. Navy October 16th 1940 out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He served aboard the destroyer USS Klondike (AD22) during WWII. He rose to the rank of Electricians Mate 2nd Class (EM2/c).

On May 24th 1946 EM L'Amie was honorably discharged. After the war, he returned home and married Virginia "Ginny" [Pulford]. 

Mr. L'Amie died on August 12th 1995 at 76 years of age in Elm Grove, Wisconsin. He is buried at St. Mary's Visitation Cemetery in Elm Grove.
