Robert C. Gunderson

Robert C. Gunderson of Forbes, Minnesota, enlisted in the Naval Reserve on August 20, 1942 at Minneapolis, Minn.

He served as a Machinist's Mate 1st Class and heavy equipment operator with the Construction Battalion (Seabees) of the 44th Naval CB Battalion in the Pacific Theater.

Mr. Gunderson was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, American Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

He was discharged Oct. 16, 1945 at Shoemaker, Calif.
