Robert E. Elofson

Robert E. Elofson was inducted into the Army Air Corps on Jan. 21, 1941at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a Technician 4th Grade with the 21st Depot Repair Squadron in the Central Pacific, Aleutian Islands and East Mandates and Western Pacific.

He was wounded in action in the Aleutians.

Mr. Elofson was awarded the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, American Defense Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and four overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on Oct. 3, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
