Robert G. Anderson

Robert G. Anderson of Virginia was inducted into the Army on Aug. 26, 1943. He was a private first class and a mortar crewman with Company A, 362nd Infantry Regiment in Rome-Arno, northern Apennines and Po Valley in Italy.He received the Purple Heart for wounds received in 1944, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars. He was discharged on Nov. 12, 1945.
