Robert M. Hammerstrom served in the U.S. Army for four years during World War II.  

Mr. Hammerstrom was born July 14, 1918 in Duluth, Minnesota, the son of Charles and Selma Hammerstrom. He graduated from Central High School in 1937.

Mr. Hammerstrom died at age 89 on April 23, 2008, in Duluth, Minnesota.
