Robert Majaniemi

Robert E. Majaniemi of Aurora was inducted into the Army on Dec. 7, 1943.

He was a Private First Class and machine gunner with Company D, 387th Infantry Regiment. He served in the Rhineland and the Pacific Theater.

Mr. Majaniemi received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on April 27, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
