Robert N. Elo of Aurora, Minn. was inducted into the Army on June 28, 1945 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He was training as an infantry intelligence and reconnaissance scout.  when the war ended, the need for his specialty ended.

He was transferred to the Field Artillery at Fort Sill, Okla. and re-enlisted in the Regular Army for three years. He served as a finance clerk typist with Headquarters Detachment of the U.S. Constabulary with the 3rd Army Occupation Forces in Germany.

Mr. Elo was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Army of Occupation Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on Dec. 9, 1948 at Camp Killmer, N.J.
