Roy E. Rikal

Roy E. Rikal of Mountain Iron, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on September 20, 1943.

He served as a Technician Fifth Grade and in bridge construction with the 239th Engineer Construction Battalion at New Guinea and the Southern Philippines (Liberation).

Mr. Rikal received the following: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with 2 Bronze battle stars, Philippine Liberation Medal with 1 Bronze star, World War II Victory Medal, and 3 overseas service bars.

Mr. Rikal was honorably discharged on February 23, 1946.
