Roy H. Olin

Roy H. Olin was inducted into the Army on June 13, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and airplane and engine mechanic with the Second Aircraft Repair Unit E in the Air Offensive Japan, Eastern Mandates, and Iwo Jima campaigns.

Mr. Olin was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged November 27, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
