Roy A. Suihkonen

Roy A. Suihkonen was inducted into the Army on September 9, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.  Home at entry: Embarrass, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician Fifth Grade and cook with the Detachment Medical Department at the U.S. Army General Hospital in Tunisia, Africa.

Mr. Suihkonen was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on September 23, 1945, at Camp Carson, Colorado.
