Royal Maryland

Royal Herbert Maryland of Gilbert was inducted into the Naval Reserve on Jan. 21, 1944, Minneapolis.

He was a Motor Machinist's Mate 3rd Class, USS LCT 1180 (Group 101) and USS LCT 1189 (Group 100) in the Pacific Theater.

Mr. Maryland received the: Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

He was discharged on Dec. 6, 1945 at Bremerton, Wash.
