Rudolph Majerle

Rudolph R. Majerle of Gilbert entered the Army on Oct. 30, 1942.

He was a 1st lieutenant and a chemical warfare unit commander in the Northern Solomons, Bismarck Archipelago and on Luzon in the Philippines.

Mr. Majerle was awarded the: Bronze Star, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal with one bronze star and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on Feb. 24, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
