Rudolph P. Wuotila

Rudolph P. Wuotila entered the Army on June 20, 1941. Home at entry: Gilbert, Minnesota.

He served as a Technical Sergeant and infantryman with the 15th Infantry Regiment of the 10th Mountain Infantry Division in the Aleutian Islands and Italy.

He shared the following "I was in the Army ski troops from the time of its inception in 1941 until it disbanded in 1945."

He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and named outstanding representative combat soldier in the 57th Mountain Infantry (later to become 10th Mountain Infantry). Received award of a watch from the Fifth Army Commander Gen. Lucian K. Truscott.

Mr. Wuotila was honorably discharged on September 29, 1945.
