Rufus A. Latvala

Rufus A. Latvala of Eveleth, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on March 26, 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He was a Private First Class and carpenter with Company A in the 341st Engineer Regiment, 266th Engineer (C) Battalion in Northern France.

Mr. Latvala received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, World War II Victory Medal and one overseas service bar.

He was discharged on September 18, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
