Russell L. Hannan of Chisholm, Minn was inducted into the Army on April 29, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a Private with the 1906 Engineer Battalion in the Aleutian Islands.

Mr. Hannan was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service with one bronze battle star, and Medal World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged October 15, 1945 at Fort Lewis, Wash.
