Ruth A. Myers

Although better know for her groundbreaking work in Indian Education in Minnesota, Myers also played a role in WWII. She left Duluth in the 11th grade to go to work in a military airplane factory in Oklahoma.

She was born January 14, 1926 in Chippewa City near Grand Marais, Minnesota. She passed away November 23, 2001 in Duluth.

Meyers was a member of the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.
