Stanley H. Palcich

Stanley H. Palcich entered the Naval Reserve on August 1, 1942. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He was commissioned Lieutenant (j.g.) and was serving as the officer in charge of a Navy Armed Guard gun crew aboard a U.S. Merchant Service vessel.

Mr. Palcich was in a convoy of ships when the ship he was aboard was sunk in the North Atlantic by a German submarine. He was declared missing as of April 16, 1944, and presumed dead as of April 13, 1944.
