Toivo H. Sandstedt

Toivo (Theodore) H. Sandstedt entered the Army Air Corps on August 29, 1942.

He served as a Staff Sergeant and aircraft engine mechanic of the 461st Air Service Squadron in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and four overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on December 11, 1945 at Camp Grant, Illinois.
