Veikko Dalbacka

Veikko Dalbacka entered the Army June 1943.

He served as a Technician Fifth Grade, driver and ammunition handler with the 695th Field Artillery.

He landed on Utah Beach, Normandy three days after D-day.

He participated in action in Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe. The 695th AFA had 105 m.m. howitzers mounted on M7 tanks with 50 cal. machine guns.

Awarded:

European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal
with five bronze battle stars.

Separated December 1945.
