Veikko A. Mackey

Veikko A. Mackey of Makinen, Minn. was inducted into the Army on June 23, 1944.

He was a Technician 4th Grade and a field lineman with the 1st Battalion, 310th Infantry Regiment, 78th Infantry Division in the Rhineland and Central Europe.

Mr. Mackinen was awarded the: Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (Germany), European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with 2 bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on June 12, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
