Victor L. Swanson

Victor C. Swanson entered the Navy on June 28, 1945. Home at entry: Hinckley, Minnesota.

He served as a Fireman Second Class aboard the destroyer minesweepers USS Gherardi (DMS30) and USS Earle (DMS42) in the Pacific.

Mr. Swanson was awarded the following: American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on August 9, 1946, at Shoemaker, California.
