Walter Wesa

Walter Wesa entered the Army on July 30, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Makinen, Minnesota.

Mr. Wesa served as a Private First Class and a cannoneer with Battery C of the 696th Armored Field Artillery Battalion in northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

He received the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with five bronze battle stars, and World War II Victory Medal.

Mr. Wesa was honorably discharged on October 31, 1945, at Camp Atterbury, Indiana.
