Ward M. Sawyer

Ward M. Sawyer was inducted into the Army on November 11, 1943, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Duluth, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and electrician with Company C of the143rd Engineer Combat Battalion in Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged March 25, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
