Wesley McKay

Wesley J. McKay of Kelsey enlisted in the Army on April 29, 1942.

He was a Private First Class with Company K, 255th Infantry Battalion and Company B, 134th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division in the Rhineland, Ardennes, Central Europe, Aleutian Islands. He participated in action at Bastogne.

He was wounded in action on March 29, 1945.

Mr. McKay received the: Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with three bronze battle stars, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with a bronze battle star, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.

He was discharged on Oct. 5, 1945.
