Wilber G. Fisher of Cooley, Minn entered the Army Air Corps on Oct. 23, 1942.

He was commissioned as a 1st Lieutenant and served as a pilot of four-engine aircraft.

He flew to England in October and was attached to the 652nd Heavy Weather Reconnaissance Squadron at Watton AFB in England. After 502 hours of combat flying, he was transferred to the 7th Photo Reconnaissance Group at Chalgrove, England and flew over the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.

Mr. Fisher was awarded the Air Medal with four oak leaf clusters and European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars.

He was recommended as an instrument check pilot.

He was honorably discharged on Oct. 12, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
