Wilbert A. Anderson

Mr. Anderson inducted into the Army on April 28, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and a bridge builder with Troop B of the Eighth Engineers Squadron in the Philippines, Luzon, New Guinea and  Bismarck Archipelago.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, Bronze Arrowhead, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal with bronze star, and four overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on November 5, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
