Willard "Wilho" A. Esala

Willard “Wilho” A. Esala served during World War II in the U.S. Navy from September 22, 1942 to October 12, 1945.

He served in the U.S. Navy Construction Battalion (Seabees) 92 on Hawaii and Tinian Island. His rank was Machinist’s Mate 3rd Class (CB).

Mr. Esala was awarded the American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal.

He was born in 1915 to John Jacob and Hilma Esala in Sandy, Minn.
