William C. Rantala

William C. Rantala of Virginia, Minnesota inducted into the Army Air Corps on August 27, 1942.

He served as a Sergeant and an aircraft armorer with the 866th Bombardment Squadron in the central Pacific, western Pacific, and the Ryukyu Islands.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with 3 bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and 5 overseas service bars.

Mr. Rantala was honorably discharged on November 25, 1945.
