BENSON, William Charles

William Charles Benson was born on May 24th 1922 to William & Lillian [Barrett] Benson in Duluth, Minnesota.

Mr. Benson entered service on February 10th  1941 during World War II. He served in the U.S. Army as a medic, enlisting at the age of 18.

After the war he returned home and married Audrey Elaine [Cotton] and they started a family.

Mr. Benson passed away on April 5th 1996 at the age of 74 years old.


Additional Information from Lucille Benson of Richfield, MN: “I have a book that William compiled while in service. It is filled with original newspaper clippings and many pictures of people in his division. There were three brothers in WWII (William, John, and Edward who was killed in the war)”
