William Irvin Anderson of Duluth enlisted in the Naval Reserve on Feb. 12, 1942. He was a motor machinist mate 1st class aboard USS. Firm and several continental U.S. shore stations in Minnesota, Pennsylvania and California. He was discharged on Oct. 23, 1945.
