William Kuharenko

William Kuharenko Mr. Kuharenko was inducted into the Army on May 4, 1943, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician 5th Grade and locomotive engineer with Company C of the 743rd Railroad Operating Battalion in Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

Mr. Kuharenko was awarded with the : Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and three overseas services bars.

He was honorably discharged from the service on February, 14, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
