William Mockey

William Mockey enlisted into the Marine Corps Reserve on March 18, 1944, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and rifleman in Iwo Jima and occupation of China.

Mr. Mockey was awarded the following: Combat Action Ribbon. Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star. World War II Victory Medal. Navy Occupation Medal (China) /

He was honorably discharged May 11, 1946.

Mr. Mockey also served in the Regular Army as a Corporal (T) from August 14, 1948, till his honorable discharge on December 10, 1951, and as a Sergeant (T) from December 11, 1951, till his honorable discharge on March 20, 1953.
