William Okal

William Okal entered the Army on June 29, 1942.

He was a Private with Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 379th Infantry Regiment in the Continental United States.

He was discharged on April 5, 1943, and then inducted on July 24, 1943, serving as a Private First Class and a military policeman with Headquarters Detachment, Prisoner of War Camp at Algoma, Iowa.

He received the Good Conduct Medal and was discharged on Oct. 10, 1945.
