William V. Mainerich

William V. Mainerich entered in the Army Air Corps on September 22, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served as a Corporal and teletype operator with Headquarters of the 364th Fighter Group in the Air Offensive Europe, Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe.

Mr. Mainerich was awarded the: Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with six bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on September 29, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
